Connecticut gets $5 million federal assistance for Irene

This past Monday, the Malloy administration announced that over $5 million in federal disaster assistance funds has been approved to help Connecticut residents affected by Tropical Storm Irene. $4.8 Million of that aid is to help homeowners and renters repair damages not covered by insurance, replace a destroyed home or rent a temporary one.
